MEET THE TEAM

Each and every member of the Country Lane team is experienced, as well as passionate about creating a safe and enjoyable home away from home experience for your pet. We are also very well educated about raw feeding, and we love to use our experience to help you make the best choices for your pets.

Our Team: Team

ALANNA

I have always had a special place in my heart for all animals, but dogs tend to be my favourite. From a young age I knew I wanted to turn my passion for animals into a career. After graduating from Sheridan’s Animal Care program in 2011, I worked as a veterinary assistant where I gained a vast knowledge of animal health, well being, safe handling and behaviour. I eventually found my way to Country Lane Pet Resort in 2014 and have been making your pets feel safe and welcome ever since. I am continuously seeking opportunities to widen my knowledge in the well-being and nutrition of companion animals. I am especially passionate about the benefits of raw nutrition. When I’m not caring for canines, I enjoy socializing with friends and family, travelling, and exploring of any sort!

I am happy to have been a part of the Country Lane Pet Resort team since September 2016. I graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Animal Biology and Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences. I have a keen interest in canine health and nutrition and enjoy sharing my knowledge with interested customers. I combine my education with 4 years of Veterinary Assistant experience and completion of the Pet First Aid certificate. In my free time, you'll find me hiking trails or on the lake with my Vizsla Rowan. Hope to see you and your furry friend in the store soon!

KATHLEEN

I’ve always been completely in love with animals. Growing up, I would spend my free time visiting the neighbour’s horses, cows and other barn animals. This has always been my passion, so I completed my post secondary education and I followed my heart into a career as a kennel attendant which is perfect for someone like me. I also have had the opportunity to be a grooming assistant part time. Learning all the grooming techniques, handling procedures and getting to work one on one really helped me develop in my animal care career. Although I loved the beautification of pets, I wanted something closer to home without the abundance of fur clippings. I wanted somewhere I could love and care for people’s fur babies like I do my own. Thankfully, I’ve found that.

NICOLE

I joined the team at Country Lane Pet Resort in August 2017. I am a proud dog mom of two beautiful pups named Vixen and Nova. My pets have always been my world. I love to spend time teaching them tricks, attending agility classes, camping, and being outdoors. Since high school I have been working with animals. I did my co-op placement at the Humane Society of Durham Region which later turned into a job. I spent five years learning all about animal care. I learned everything from how to administer oral medications, injections, vaccinations, and microchips, to training the rescues before they went to new homes. After my time at HSDR I worked in a vet clinic where I was able to obtain and further my knowledge of animal care. Finally, I found my way to Country Lane Pet Resort, where I have been given opportunities to expand my knowledge even more by completing a raw feeding specialist course. Thanks to this, I now have a deeper knowledge on the ins and outs of raw feeding for my own fur babies and yours!

JESSICA

I joined Country Lane Pet Resort in August 2018. I have an education in Environmental & Resource Science but have always loved and wanted to work with dogs. Working at Country Lane Pet Resort has allowed me to expand my experience and knowledge of handling dogs and of feeding a raw diet. I enjoy making all of the dogs staying with us feel comfortable and loved while their families are away. I also adore handling new breeds that I've had little to no experience with before. I discovered Country Lane Pet Resort when I switched my own dog, Seven, a German Shepherd, to a raw diet. Seeing the positive impact raw has made for her has been amazing, and motivates me to help others make the switch for their dogs. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, and going on new adventures with Seven.

BRIENNA

I always knew I wanted to work with animals in some capacity. I took the Animal Care program, at Durham College and graduated in spring 2015. Then in October 2016, I joined the Country Lane Pet Resort team. I enjoy making each of our guests stay, fun, safe, and positive. I also enjoy helping clients with any raw diet questions they may have. Since discovering the raw food diet, I have switched my own dog, Harlow, and have seen a significant improvement with her overall health and wellbeing. When I'm not working, I am out exploring the great outdoors with my dog, Harlow.
